How to give

Every gift to the team goes to Weston Public Schools. The district receives and receipts it through the Town of Weston business office, which passes it to us by the team name. That's why a gift is tax-deductible, and why every gift needs the name.

A company can also give parts or stock we would otherwise buy, time on a machine we don't have, or an engineer to review a design or mentor the build. Write to us with what you can offer.

Sponsor questions

Write to us with anything not answered here.

Is a gift tax-deductible?

Yes. We're a school team, so every gift goes through Weston Public Schools.

How does a gift reach this team?

By the team name. The business office passes a gift to us by that name, so put it in the memo field online or on the memo line of a check.

Copy the team name
What do sponsors get?

Your name listed on the cover of our engineering portfolio and on this site, a thank-you at our outreach events, your own post on our Instagram, and your name on the team shirts.

Will my employer match it?

Many employers match gifts to public schools, so ask yours. Give online or by check, then name Weston Public Schools as the recipient when you request the match, and add the team name.

About GNCE Onyx

GNCE Onyx is FIRST® Tech Challenge (FTC) team 37122 from Weston Public Schools, Massachusetts. Founded in 2026, the team has eleven students and is playing its rookie season in BIOBUZZ™ presented by RTX, the 2026-27 game. Seven of its members competed on other teams in GNCE, the district's robotics program, before joining. Onyx publishes free design tools for other FTC teams (a drivetrain optimizer, a belt calculator and a transfer builder) and teaches robotics to younger students, most recently at a summer camp and a seminar at the Weston Public Library.
